Welder (Tig)

We are currently recruiting for an experienced TIG Welder to join a well-established engineering business based in the Normanton area of Wakefield.\n\nThis is a permanent opportunity offering long-term stability, autonomy in the role, and the chance to work on high-quality fabrications rather than repetitive production work.\n\nThis TIG Welder position would suit someone who takes pride in precision welding and light fabrication, particularly on stainless and aluminium components.\n\nAs the TIG Welder, you will play a key role within the production function, working closely with the Production Manager, machine shop, and fitting teams to ensure components are manufactured right first time and delivered on schedule.\n\nMain Responsibilities:\n\nCarry out TIG welding on stainless steel components\nComplete light fabrication, cutting, forming, and metal finishing to engineering drawings\nUse argon purging techniques when welding thin gauge materials\nWork closely with the machine shop to complete components in line with route cards\nMaintain stock levels of welding consumables and fabrication materials\nAssist with rework and quality corrections where required\nAccurately record time and maintain high standards of housekeeping\n\nSkills / Experience:\n\nProven experience as a TIG Welder within a manufacturing or engineering environment\nStrong experience TIG welding stainless steel\nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics\nGood knowledge of basic fabrication and metalworking techniques\nExperience using measuring equipment and fabrication tools\nComfortable working independently and taking ownership of workloads\n\nWorking (2-10pm)\n\nIND123
