You will deliver end-to-end sourcing and contract management across complex, sensitive categories that support front line operations, including firearms, tactical equipment, and specialist services such as dog units, mounted branch, and public order.\n\nClient Details\n\nThis opportunity is within a well-established public sector organisation. The organisation is committed to delivering effective services and maintaining a strong focus on operational excellence.\n\nDescription\n\nKey responsibilities include: \n\nLead end-to-end procurement processes in line with public sector regulations\nDevelop and deliver category strategies and sourcing plans\nManage supplier negotiations to achieve value for money\nAct as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders and frontline teams\nDraft tender documentation and support business case development\nOversee contract performance, risk, and compliance\nManage key supplier relationships and drive continuous improvement\nSupport critical contracts and complex commercial activity\nMentor junior colleagues and promote best practice\n\nProfile\n\nA successful Commercial Lead should have:\n\nDemonstrable experience in procurement or commercial roles within the public sector.\nStrong knowledge of procurement regulations and compliance requirements.\nProven ability to manage supplier relationships effectively.\nExcellent negotiation and influencing skills.\nCompetence in analysing market trends and identifying cost-saving opportunities.\nStrong organisational and communication skills to liaise with internal stakeholders.Job Offer\n\nDay rate of £600 - £700 dependant on experience \nInterim contract offering flexibility and variety in the public sector.\nHybrid working pattern.
