Job Description

Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for an excellent opportunity for an experienced Childcare Solicitor to join a well-regarded local authority in the West Midlands on a remote working basis.This assignment is expected to run for an initial 3-6 months, with the strong possibility of extension, and is offering a competitive rate of £55-60 per hour DOE.The successful Childcare Solicitor will manage a varied caseload of public law children matters, including care proceedings and pre-proceedings work. Key responsibilities will include:
  • Managing a full caseload of childcare matters
  • Providing legal advice on all aspects of public law childrens work
  • Attending PLO and legal planning meetings
  • Drafting legal documentation, including statements and threshold documents
  • The role can be worked fully remotely for the foreseeable future, offering excellent flexibility.We are keen to speak with candidates who have previous local authority childcare experience and who are able to hit the ground running.
