Senior Project Manager - BMS & Smart Buildings\n\nLocation: Central London\n\nSalary: £75,000 - £85,000 + Benefits\n\nIndustry: Building Management Systems (BMS) | Smart Buildings\n\nVantage Consulting are recruiting for a Project Manager on behalf of a leading building automation specialist delivering cutting-edge smart building projects across the UK.\n\nThis opportunity will see you take ownership of a flagship commercial office fit-out project in Central London, delivering an integrated package of Building Management Systems (BMS), Energy Management Systems (EMS), and Smart Building technologies.\n\nThis is a highly visible role that will involve managing the project from preconstruction through installation, commissioning, and final handover. The project is currently in the delivery phase and requires an experienced Project Manager who is confident operating in fast-paced fit-out environments while managing multiple stakeholders, contractors, and technical workstreams.\n\nThe business is recognised for delivering innovative building automation and intelligent building solutions across major commercial developments.\n\nRole Overview\n\nAs Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering a technically advanced BMS and Smart Buildings package within a high-spec commercial fit-out environment.\n\nYou will work closely with clients, consultants, engineers, commissioning teams, and subcontractors to ensure delivery is achieved safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.\n\nThe role requires strong experience in BMS delivery, commissioning coordination, programme management, and stakeholder engagement across the full project lifecycle.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nProject Delivery & Coordination\n\nManage full project lifecycle from preconstruction to handover.\n Develop and maintain programmes and delivery schedules.\n Coordinate engineering, installation, and commissioning teams.\n Manage subcontractors and specialist suppliers.\n Chair progress meetings and coordinate stakeholder communication.\n Monitor risks and implement mitigation actions.\n Ensure programme milestones are achieved.\n\nInstallation & Site Management\n\nOversee site delivery during installation phase.\n Coordinate multiple trades in a live fit-out environment.\n Resolve technical and programme issues.\n Ensure effective allocation of resources.\n Maintain strong client and contractor relationships.\n\nCommissioning & Handover\n\nManage commissioning activities through to completion.\n Coordinate witness testing and demonstrations.\n Oversee snagging and close-out activities.\n Ensure client training and handover completion.\n Drive project close-out in line with programme.\n\nQuality, Compliance & Safety\n\nEnsure compliance with company and client standards.\n Maintain H&S requirements across site activities.\n Conduct site inspections and quality checks.\n Manage documentation and reporting.\n Support QA processes throughout delivery.\n\nTechnical Scope\n\nBuilding Management Systems\n Tridium-based BMS platforms\n HVAC controls\n FCU controls\n\nEnergy & Smart Building Technologies\n Energy Management Systems (EMS)\n Smart Building Integration\n Building Analytics Systems\n Intelligent Building Technologies\n\nBuilding Services Integration\n HVAC systems\n FCU systems\n Energy monitoring and reporting\n Smart building functionality\n\nThe Ideal Candidate\n\nProven experience delivering BMS projects.\n Strong understanding of controls and commissioning.\n Experience managing commercial fit-out projects.\n Ability to coordinate multiple contractors and stakeholders.\n Strong programme and delivery management skills.\n Client-facing communication experience.\n Experience managing commissioning and handover stages.\n Comfortable in fast-paced project environments.\n\nDesirable Experience\n\nTridium experience.\n EMS project experience.\n Smart / Intelligent Buildings exposure.\n HVAC controls knowledge.\n Experience on complex commercial projects.\n\nWhat's on Offer\n\n£75,000 - £85,000 basic salary.\n Private healthcare.\n Company pension scheme.\n 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.\n Flagship Central London project.\n Exposure to advanced Smart Building technologies.\n Clear progression within a growing Intelligent Buildings business.\n Opportunity to take ownership of a high-profile development.\n\nReady to take the lead on one of London's most advanced smart building projects?\n\nApply now or contact the Vantage Consulting team to find out more
