Air Conditioning Engineer

Site based Air Conditioning Engineer - Gateshead - National Facilities Management Organisation: FMCG\n\n CBW Staffing Solutions are seeking a skilled Air Conditioning Engineer to join our client’s team of facilities management professionals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC maintenance and repair, responsible for maintaining and servicing air conditioning systems to ensure optimal performance and end-client satisfaction.\n\n This is a site based opportunity, located in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear.\n\n Package:\n\nCompetitive salary of up to £42,000 per annum (depending on experience)\nCore hours are Monday to Friday (40 hours per week)\nParticipation in 'out of hours' on call rota\n25 days annual leave plus bank holidays\nGenerous workplace pension scheme\nTraining, development & progression opportunities\nResponsibilities:\n\nMaintain, service and troubleshoot a variety of air conditioning systems, including split systems, VRV/VRF systems, and chillers\nPerform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning coils, replacing filters, moving parts, to prolong the lifespan of HVAC equipment\nDiagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in air conditioning units, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency\nConduct inspections and assessments of HVAC systems to identify potential issues and recommend appropriate solutions\nCollaborate with other maintenance personnel and contractors to coordinate complex repairs and system upgrades\nAdhere to safety protocols and industry regulations to promote a safe working environmentQualifications:\n\nProven experience as an Air Conditioning Engineer or similar role within the facilities management industry\nHold your F-Gas Cat 1 Regulations certification\nStrong knowledge of HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair techniques\nFamiliarity with refrigeration principles and equipment\nProficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults\nExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team\nEffective communication and customer service skills\nIf you are a dedicated Air Conditioning Engineer, looking for a rewarding career opportunity, please apply with your full CV or contact Amy O’Shea at CBW Staffing Solutions
